Yuhpp (yuhpp.com and the Yuhpp app at yuhpp.com/app) is run by Michael Fountain in California, United States. In this policy, "Yuhpp," "we," and "us" mean Michael Fountain operating Yuhpp. Questions and requests go to michael@yuhpp.com.
Account details. Your email address and password when you sign up. Sign-in is handled by Memberstack, our account provider, which stores your password in protected form. We never see it. If you add your first name, we store that too.
Your agreements. When you accepted the Terms and this policy, and whether you chose to take part in research (see Optional research below).
Your resume. When you upload a resume, we pull out the text and keep only the text. The PDF or Word file itself is not stored. To read a PDF, we send it to Anthropic's Claude API, which returns the text.
What you save in your workspace. Target roles, saved searches, experience bullets, interview stories, weekly numbers, interview prep, and anything else you enter or save.
Your guided steps. The messages you send in a step and the replies you get back, so you can return to them later.
Usage records. Which steps you run and when, how many runs you have used this month, and what each run cost to process. We use these to keep Yuhpp free and within its monthly limits.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosts record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. It is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Messages you send us. If you email us or use the form on the For HR Teams page, we keep what you send, such as your name, email, organization, and message.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Yuhpp's guided steps are powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you run a step, we send Anthropic what that step needs to answer you: your message, the parts of your workspace the step uses (such as your resume text), and the step's instructions. Some steps search the web for current information, such as company news, and those searches also run through Anthropic.
Anthropic processes this content to return your reply under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to train its models on that content. Anthropic may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring, as described in its own privacy policy.
AI replies can be wrong. Review anything a step produces before you use it.
We share personal information only with the providers who help us run Yuhpp, and only what they need:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the safety or rights of our users or others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of Yuhpp, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
We do not share your workspace with employers, recruiters, or anyone else. If Yuhpp is ever offered to you through an employer or other organization, we will tell you what that organization can see before you join.
At sign-up, you can choose to let Yuhpp use your anonymized, aggregated results, such as how many applications led to interviews, for research and reporting. Your numbers are combined with other members' and never identify you. Research never includes your resume, your stories or bullets, or what you write in your steps. Reports may be shared publicly.
Saying no changes nothing about your account. If you said yes, you can withdraw at any time by emailing michael@yuhpp.com, and you will be left out of future reports.
The app uses a small number of cookies that keep you signed in:
The website may use basic analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other sites. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, but the app needs its sign-in cookies to work.
We keep your account and workspace while your account is open. Resume files are never stored. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and everything in your workspace within 30 days. We may keep a minimal record longer where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute, along with aggregated statistics that cannot identify you. Messages you send us are kept as long as needed to handle them.

Email michael@yuhpp.com from the address on your account so we can confirm it is you. We respond within 30 days. You can change your first name in your profile at any time.
Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights, such as the right to complain to a data protection authority. We will honor them. California residents: we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Connections to Yuhpp are encrypted. Your session ID sits in a cookie that page scripts cannot read, and stored data is accessed only to run, support, and secure Yuhpp. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your password private and leave highly sensitive details, such as government ID numbers or health information, out of your resume and workspace.
Yuhpp is run from the United States. Your information is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate.
Yuhpp is for people 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has created an account, email michael@yuhpp.com and we will delete it.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
